If you love cheesy David Hasselhoff pictures as much as me, then go check out my friend Sheasy’s post today. She recently gave her two-week notice at work (YAY for her!!!!) and sent out the all-time best “goodbye, I’m leaving” email to all of us co-workers.  Go see!

These are my favorite earrings. I got them last December at the Indie Sacramento craft fair, handmade by the talented Colleen Mauer. (Her site doesn’t seem to include a lot of the amazing stuff I saw, so you should go see her if she is ever in your area. Plus she had a discount for buying in person, and who doesn’t like a sale?!)

They are super comfortable and just spicy enough, but still wearable with everyday outfits.

With so much hand-crafted charm I can’t help but remember Colleen each time I pick them up. It truly is a wonderful connection to have with the “stuff” we all buy, when you can meet or speak with the artist and know where the item comes from. Plus, I get to feel like I’m helping somebody support themselves with their creative talent.

I’m a patron of the arts!
