tag, you’re it!

[Wrapping paper scrap from last year, 1/8" hole punch, 1/8" red ribbon, & scissors.]
What do you get when you add all of this together? These:
Lots of handcrafted gift tags just waiting for packages to adorn.
Cut out shapes from those tiny pieces of wrapping paper that you saved last year even though they won’t fit any gifts (I know I’m not the only one), punch holes in the top, and tie a little bow. Mine are from a thick, matte paper that I got at Cost Plus on sale and have enough curve from the roll to give them added dimension.
Now all I need are gifts to wrap.

[ALSO: This is my 100th post! Yay!!! I'm honestly a little surprised that I made it this far, so I'd like to do a little giveaway--but because of the holidays, I'll wait until my first year blogiversary instead on January 8th. Be sure to stop by that day!]

the fall
Another patented “Tanya’s 4-step Tutorial to a More Amazing Life”
- Rent The Fall (2006 film by Tarsem Singh).
- Revel at the gorgeousness.
- Enjoy the action and loveliness.
- Thank me for changing your life.
In all seriousness, the film is rated R (though it is pretty tame) and if you think “an action-adventure version of The Wizard of Oz crossed with Amelie” sounds good, then this is probably right up your alley. In one of life’s little coincidences I had seen a preview for The Fall and was absolutely smitten with the beautiful trailer. Then, unbeknownst to me, my friend Sheasy had recommended the very same movie to my friend Jen. And thanks to the magic of Netflix it was waiting at her house when we got together for a night of craftniess. Needless to say I crafted nada. No sewing, no sketching, no list-writing. Because I was glued to the screen, the most adorable little girl actor, and all of the magic and heartbreak. I don’t know why this didn’t receive a mainstream release here, but it certainly deserves some attention.
Let me know what you think!
