As wonderful as my trip to Washington was, the highlight had to be realizing that it had really happened.  That I can be proud of my president.  I am excited to know that our country can grow and our options are a tiny bit wider.  And I start to wonder at this feeling of respect and downright giddiness.  Has my generation ever had that?

It is the distinct feeling of a tiny speck of political cynicism cracking.
